YourName.com Not Available? Handy Tip.

by Jeffrey on July 30, 2010

If you are in the real estate business consider how important it is to build your brand.  What better way than using your own name for a domain?

For instance I own jeffreydouglass.com and have for many years. Unfortunately, for many REALTORS® their name has already been taken.

Another option is using YourNameRealtor.com.  This is one of the few cases where the National Association of REALTORS® will allow the use of the trademark in combination with a personal name.  Click here for details.

So today I bought JeffreyDouglassRealtor.com.  You will need to be a member of National Association of REALTORS®.

Check availability today and sign up with your favorite domain registration.

From The Rambling Mind of Jeffrey Douglass

by Jeffrey on July 25, 2010

Welcome to my first post on JeffreyDouglass.com.

You might think that I’m crazy to create yet another blog, but as things have progressed I have found this additional space was necessary.

For the last several years, I have been writing a local real estate blog called San Diego Lifestyle (SDL). I have learned a immense deal about developing an successful real estate site and continue to improve SDL for it’s purpose.

That has left me a bit frustrated for the big picture stuff regarding the estate industry which I am immensely passionate about. Thus, JeffreyDouglass.com was born as a platform for the larger than local market issues.

Secondly the site is a platform to share ideas and tools that work for real estate in the digital age. Have spent countless hours over the last 2 years learning about the craft, I wanted to become a facilitator for those in the industry that wish to dip their toes in the virtual space.

I have included links to some of my favorite bloggers in this space and encourage you to read what they have to say. Together my hope is to increase awareness in our industry in how crucial an on-line presence is and why you should start TODAY.
